Exquisite Island Cuisine
Playa Blanca Restaurant & Bar

Playa Blanca has one of, if not the finest restaurants on the Yucatan coast.  Under the guidance of the island's Executive Chef Esteban, Playa Blanca Chef Mitch prepares some of the most delicious, authentic, visually pleasing cuisine found anywhere.  The Playa Blanca menu consists mainly of items created with fresh local ingredients - conch ceviche to marinated grilled caribbean lobster caught that day - with some classic items like Barbeque'd Ribs made with Bobby Settles famous secret recipe bbq sauce.  Chef does support his local fisherman.  All the local seafood he purchases comes from local fisherman in the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve.

Most meals at Playa Blanca are taken in our stunning waterfront dining room...the sand literally comes righ to the front door!  Breakfast offers a selection of sweet breads, fruits, cereals, juices and your choice of a hot dish.   Lunch.  Many guests prepare their lunch first thing in the a.m.  An ample lunch buffet consisting of cold cuts, vegetables fruit, seafood, dessert and more, all freshly prepared are laid out beautifully ready to be packed up into freshly iced coolers to be taken along on your days adventure.  Botana is Chef's choice and is served late afternoon/ early evening, just in time for cocktail hour.  Botana could be a selection of sushi rolls or beef filled chimichangas or whatever the chef cooks up.  Dinner is a fix menu sometimes featuring local seafood prepared exquisitely or maybe kabobs made from fine file mignon grilled on an open fire or maybe a buffet of local mayan mexican cuisine.

We are very proud of our Chef and his food.  We are confident you will feel this way too. Although, arrangments for special meals or menu items can be made.  Simply tell us what you would like and we will do our best to accommodate.

We do have a full service bar with a very capable bartender ready to mix your favorite cocktail.  Of course the house specialty are Margaritas made with fresh lime juic and served in frosty glasses rimmed with salt.  Is it 5 o'clock yet?
