02-Sep-08	Gustav Slides On By Gustav blew on by never posing a threat to Casa Blanca, Playa Blanca or Casa Redonda.  There really is nothing to report other than we will be ready for the season opener in October.  Our thoughts and prayers are with those who were affected by the storm.
28-Aug-08	Gustav Bearing Down on the Gulf Hurricane Gustav is bearing down on Jamaica, Cuba and the Yucatan.  The staff of Casa Blanca Fishing Lodge have been sleeping with one eye open, keeping an around the clock watch on the path of the hurricane. Bobby says " we have put all furniture up and pulling down the solar panels at CR. The boats are secured to palm trees and the main staff is on stand by "
